A handful of Chargers have been honored for their stellar play this past season.
The Pro Football Writers of America recently announced their All-AFC and All-Rookie Teams, with a quartet of Bolts honored between the teams.
The PFWA's All-AFC Team featured Rashawn Slater at left tackle, Derwin James, Jr. at safety and Derius Davis at kick returner.
Slater was named to the Pro Bowl in 2024 and produced a dominant season in the trenches as he finished second among all offensive tackles with a regular-season Pro Football Focus grade of 91.1.
Slater, who was on an island roughly 65 percent of the team, according to PFF, also posted a 90.4 pass-block grade, which ranked third among all players at his position.
James has racked up another accolade after earning Pro Bowl and Second-Team All-Pro honors during the season.
James had a bounce back season in Jesse Minter's defense and was a forced to be reckoned with as he primarily manned the slot cornerback spot.
James' versatility was a key reason why the Chargers defense finished the regular season with the fewest points allowed (17.7 per game), marking the first time the Bolts had the league's No. 1 scoring defense in the Super Bowl Era.
According to PFF, James played 361 snaps at slot cornerback and another 281 snaps in the box. He was also credited with playing 97 snaps along the defensive line.
In the simplest terms, James' ability to play anywhere close to the line of scrimmage caused headaches for opposing offenses and allowed the 28-year-old to constantly wreak havoc on game day.
Davis, meanwhile, produced another strong season as a returner.
He tallied 19 kickoff returns for 524 yards, good for an average of 27.6 yards per return.
Davis sparked the Bolts with a handful of big returns, including in Week 10 against the Titans when he produced a season-long 56-yard kickoff return to open the second half.
Joe Alt was the Chargers lone selection on the PFWA's All-Rookie Team.
Alt made 16 starts for the Chargers as a rookie and finished with a 94.3 percent pass-block win rate, according to ESPN, which was the fourth-highest mark among offensive tackles in the regular season.
Alt, whose 1,011 offensive snaps ranked fourth on the team, finished 19th among all tackles with an overall PFF grade of 77.6 during the regular season.
