Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week by the league office. It his fourth career Special Teams Player of the Week honor and his second in as many weeks. Dicker is the first back-to-back winner for any Player of the Week honor this season.
Dicker continued his record-setting season in Week 18 to close the 2024 regular season, helping the Bolts clinch the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoffs. The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year nominee made four field goals and a pair of extra points to total 14 points scored, tied for the most by any player during the week in the NFL. The performance brought him to 150 points on the season, setting a single-season franchise record by a kicker. His 39 field goals in 2023 also set a single-season team record.
Dicker previously won Special Teams Player of the Week in Week 17 this season, Week 5 of the 2022 season (NFC with Philadelphia Eagles) and Week 9 of the 2022 season (AFC with Los Angeles Chargers). He also was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for December/January with the Bolts in the 2022 season en route to All-Rookie recognition by the Professional Football Writers of America.
