The Chargers announced on Monday that former Miami Dolphins stalwart Mike Pouncey agreed to terms on a two-year contract.
The 6-5, 298-pounder has long been regarded as one of the top centers in the league. Pouncey was selected to the Pro Bowl three-consecutive seasons from 2013-15, and boasts versatility to play guard as well. The eight-year veteran has been a mainstay up front, appearing in at least 12 games all but one season of his career. He's also lauded for his leadership ability, twice winning the team's Don Shula Leadership Award as voted upon by his teammates.
Pouncey entered the NFL following a standout collegiate career at Florida in which he was a two-team All-American. The Dolphins subsequently selected him 15th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft.
