The Los Angeles Chargers today placed wide receiver Jalen Reagor on Reserve/Injured. The team also elevated wide receiver Laviska Shenault and tight end Eric Tomlinson from the practice squad for Sunday's game.
Shenault has started 27-of-62 career games with Jacksonville, Carolina and Seattle since entering the NFL as a second-round pick (42nd overall) by the Jaguars in the 2020 NFL Draft. Over his career, he has hauled in 163 passes for 1,587 yards (9.7 avg.) and six touchdowns, while adding 51 rushing attempts for 253 yards (5.0 avg.) and a touchdown. Earlier this season with the Seahawks, Shenault posted 16 kickoff returns for 459 yards, including one he returned 97 yards for a touchdown.
In three seasons at the University of Colorado (2017-19), Shenault recorded 149 catches for 1,943 yards (130 avg.) and 10 touchdowns in 32 career games played. He added five career rushing scores and 280 yards on 42 career rushing attempts (6.7 avg.). Shenault had the most productive season of his college career as a sophomore, when he posted 11 touchdowns (six receiving, five rushing) and caught 86 passes for 1,011 yards (11.8 avg.), earning second-team All-America and first-team All-Pacific-12 honors.
Tomlinson came into the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2015 and has started 55-of-95 career games (including postseason) with the Jets, Giants, Patriots, Raiders, Ravens, Broncos and Chargers. He has registered 289 yards and three touchdowns on 29 career receptions (10.0avg.). Over four seasons (2011-14) at UTEP, Tomlinson hauled in 59 passes for 547 yards (9.3 avg.) and four touchdowns for the Miners, earning honorable mention All-Conference USA recognition three times.
