One of the hardest hitting linebackers in the NFL isn't going anywhere.

Days before he was set to hit the open market as an unrestricted free agent, the Los Angeles Chargers announced they've signed Denzel Perryman to a two-year contract.

Originally a second-round selection (48th overall) by the Bolts in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Miami, Perryman has started 35 of the 42 games he's appeared in, totaling 290 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks and two interceptions.

The 5-11, 240-pound linebacker started the first nine games of the 2018 season before suffering a season-ending knee injury in Week 11's win over the Oakland Raiders. Perryman ranked first on the team with 64 tackles (41 solo) at the time of the injury and had two passes defensed and an interception.

Bringing back Perryman marks the second signing the Bolts have made prior to the official start of free agency as they previously inked versatile defensive back Jaylen Watkins.
