Los Angeles Chargers Acquire Defensive Back Elijah Molden

The Los Angeles Chargers today announced the team has acquired defensive back Elijah Molden from the Tennessee Titans. In exchange, the Chargers will send a 2026 seventh-round pick to Tennessee.

A third-round selection by Tennessee in the 2021 NFL Draft (100th overall), Molden started 16-of-33 career regular-season games with the Titans. He recorded 137 tackles (92 solo), a pair of pick-sixes, eight passes defensed, five tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two recoveries. Molden saw the most extensive action of his career last season, setting career highs in starts (eight), tackles (72) and solo tackles (46). As a rookie, he started the team's AFC Divisional matchup, assisting on two tackles.

Molden was a back-to-back first-team All-Pacific-12 recipient as a junior and senior at the University of Washington, where he appeared in 44 games over four seasons (2017-20). He was honored by Pro Football Focus as Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2020 and was a two-time second-team All-America from PFF (2019-20). With the Huskies, Molden posted 153 tackles (100 solo), five interceptions, 20 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and a pair of recoveries.
