Tyrell Williams is officially back in the fold as he signed his restricted free agent tender on Monday. The Chargers previously tagged the wide receiver with a second-round tender in mid-March.
Entering his fourth season in the league, Williams has established himself as one of NFL's top deep threats. After joining the Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2015, Williams came into his own in 2016 finishing that season with 69 receptions for 1,059 yards and seven touchdowns. Additionally, he became only the 15th player in Chargers history to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards. 2017 proved to be another solid year for Williams as he led all NFL wide receivers in yards after catch average (8.0) while finishing the season with 43 catches for 728 yards and four touchdowns.
