Collaboration will include initiatives to provide healthcare resources and awareness to the greater Los Angeles community.

The Los Angeles Chargers and UCLA Health have entered a multi-year partnership designating UCLA Health as the team's Official Medical Partner and Presenting Partner of Chargers Training Camp.

As the Official Medical Partner for the Chargers, UCLA Health will provide leading-edge orthopedic and sports medicine care to the team. The partnership extends naming rights for the Chargers' Recovery Room, known as the "Recharge Room,", housed within the team's new state-of-the-art training facility, the Bolt, in El Segundo, CA.

"UCLA Health is pleased to be serving as the medical partner for the Los Angeles Chargers," said Johnese Spisso, president of UCLA Health and CEO of the UCLA Hospital System. "Our comprehensive team of orthopedic and sports medicine specialists provide leading-edge care to athletes and patients in our community who come to UCLA Health for this expertise."

"UCLA Health has been recognized for its excellence in health and patient care for decades," said A.G. Spanos, Chargers President of Business Operations. "To be able to bring the level of world-class expertise and consistency that have come to define UCLA Health to our players, day-in, day-out, through this partnership is as good as it gets. With their presence at The Bolt, in training camp and on game day, we couldn't be more excited to welcome UCLA Health to the Chargers family."

Over the course of the partnership, the Chargers and UCLA Health will collaborate on initiatives to provide healthcare resources and awareness to the greater Los Angeles community. The Chargers will work with UCLA Health to highlight health care workers as part of their Healthcare Heroes Program throughout the entire season via interactive experiences, dedicated signage and digital content pieces on the video board.

"We're excited about the opportunity to partner with the Los Angeles Chargers to innovate in sports medicine. Our work with USA Basketball, the Dodgers, Lakers, Sparks and UCLA Athletics makes our team uniquely qualified to support the Chargers as they open this magnificent facility," said Nicholas Bernthal, MD, Chair and Executive Medical Director of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at UCLA Health.

Long a highlight of Chargers Community Relations efforts and a favorite amongst players, UCLA Health will host future hospital visits from some of the team's biggest stars. These visits aim to brighten patients' days and create lasting memories for those going through some of life's most challenging times.

About The Los Angeles Chargers

Now in their 65th season in Southern California, the Chargers continue to stretch the imagination and put on the most exciting show in football. But don't let the idyllic West Coast setting and iconic powder blue uniforms – widely regarded as the NFL's best – fool you. Behind the dramatic games, unforgettable highlights, beloved players and groundbreaking performances lies an uncompromising drive for success; one rooted in toughness, resilience and good old-fashioned hard work. Established in Los Angeles in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League, the team played in San Diego from 1961 to 2016 and advanced to five of the first six AFL Championship games, capturing the 1963 title. Joining the National Football League when the two leagues merged in 1970, the Chargers have since claimed an additional 10 division titles and appeared in Super Bowl XXIX. Owned by the Spanos family since 1984, the Chargers returned to Los Angeles in 2017, opened their multi-billion-dollar SoFi Stadium home in 2020, moved into their new quarter-billion-dollar El Segundo training facility in the heart of Los Angeles' South Bay in 2024 and continue to redefine what an NFL franchise looks like in the 21st century.
