Los Chargers seleccionaron al receptor abierto de la USC, Brenden Rice, en la séptima ronda (No. 225) en el Draft de la NFL 2024 el sábado.
Rice es hijo del miembro del Salón de la Fama Jerry Rice, quien tiene los récords de la NFL en recepciones, yardas recibidas y touchdowns recibidos.
La selección de Rice les da a los Chargers más profundidad en una sala de receptores abiertos que también incluye a Joshua Palmer, Quentin Johnston, Derius Davis, Simi Fehoko y Ladd McConkey.
Los Bolts eligieron a McConkey en la segunda ronda del Draft de la NFL 2024.
Rice, de 22 años, mide 6 pies 2 pulgadas y pesa 208 libras.
Rice fue honrado por el Segundo Equipo All-Pac-12 de 2023 después de liderar a los Trojans con 12 touchdowns en recepción.
Rice anotó 84 recepciones en su carrera para 1,402 yardas y 16 anotaciones mientras estuvo en la USC. Comenzó su carrera universitaria en Colorado.
