Los Angeles Chargers el martes firmaron al centro Andre James.

1. Permanecer en la AFC Oeste
James se queda en la división.
El veterano centro se une a los Bolts tras pasar 2024 con los Raiders.
James fue titular en 11 partidos con Las Vegas la temporada pasada y jugó como centro en todas.
Permitió dos o menos presiones en ocho de esos 11 partidos, según Pro Football Focus.
Terminó la temporada del 2024 octavo entre todos los linieros interiores en la tasa de victorias de bloqueo de pase de ESPN, con un 96 por ciento.
2. Centro veterano
El jugador de 27 años cuenta con amplia experiencia desde que llegó a la liga como agente libre no reclutado en el draft de 2019.
James ha jugado un total de 89 partidos, 60 de ellos como titular como centro de Las Vegas, a lo largo de seis temporadas.
Asumió por completo el rol de centro titular con los Raiders durante la temporada 2021 y ha logrado una eficiencia de bloqueo de pase de 98.0 a lo largo de su carrera, según PFF.

3. Su mejor Año en 2023
La mejor temporada de James en su carrera llegó en 2023, donde se convirtió en uno de los centros más confiables de la liga.
Fue titular en 16 partidos esa temporada, registrando las mejores marcas de su carrera en todas las categorías de la PFF.
James ocupó el octavo lugar entre todos los centros con al menos 500 jugadas esa temporada, con una calificación ofensiva de 74.6 y una calificación de bloqueo de pase de 71.2, y el décimo con una calificación de bloqueo de carrera de 75.0.
4. De regreso a Los Ángeles
James regresa al sur de California, donde pasó sus años universitarios como Bruin.
El liniero ofensivo jugó durante cuatro años en UCLA, donde fue titular en 32 partidos en diversas posiciones.
Primero ocupó la posición de tackle derecho durante siete partidos en 2016, antes de asumir la posición a tiempo completo la temporada siguiente. En su último año universitario, durante la temporada 2018, James se volteó y dominó al otro lado como tackle izquierdo.
5. Proviene de Utah
Además de ser un recluta de cuatro estrellas de la preparatoria Herriman en Utah y jugador estrella del estado según algunos medios, James también destacó en otro deporte durante su etapa preparatoria.
James fue miembro de los equipos de atletismo de su universidad y fue varias veces campeón estatal en lanzamiento de bala, superando la marca de 18.5 metros durante su último año.
