3. Historia de éxito
Comenzando en la NFL en 2018 como agente libre no impidió que Edwards se abriera camino hacia un puesto con los Ravens de inmediato.
Edwards salió de la universidad después de no ser elegido en el draft y comenzó su carrera en Baltimore en el equipo de práctica. Sin embargo, aprovechó al máximo cuando se llamó de su nombre durante la primera mitad de la temporada 2018.
Logró una carrera exitosa en Baltimore, jugando en 69 juegos y con 3,395 yardas terrestres en 699 intentos (4.9 por intento).
Su éxito lo llevó a poseer el récord de más anotaciones y yardas terrestres de un jugador no elegido en draft en la historia de la franquicia de los Ravens.
4. Estadísticas universitarias fuertes
Como corredor estrella en Staten Island, Nueva York, Edwards fue jugador de tres estrellas por varios medios.
Terminaría en la Universidad de Miami y tuvo acción desde el salto en la ofensiva y los equipos especiales como estudiante de primer año.
Edwards jugó en 35 partidos para los Hurricanes, corriendo para 977 yardas en 186 intentos (5.3 yardas por intento) y anotó 12 touchdowns.
Pasaría su última temporada con camiseta roja en Rutgers, donde se convirtió en titular y jugó en los 12 partidos durante la temporada 2017.

Edwards pasó la mayor parte de su vida antes de la universidad en Staten Island, pero nació y pasó los primeros años de su vida en Liberia.
Nació y creció allí hasta que él y su familia huyeron cuando Edwards tenía 5 años para encontrar una vida mejor en los Estados Unidos.
